Internationally Acclaimed Architect/Designer Gensler Selected to Create Jose Eber Salon in Las Vegas

Jose Eber, well-known for his innovative and striking hairstyles that bring out the inner beauty of women, is coming to Las Vegas. A leading trendsetter in hairstyle and beauty, Jose will make his grand debut in Las Vegas at his new showcase salon at the Fashion Show Mall in late Fall 2005.

"We selected Gensler because this firm is on the cutting edge of architecture and design, and is involved with exciting retailers, such as Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Burberry and Apple. Additionally, Gensler is the Executive Architect for the MGM Project CityCenter in Las Vegas," said Jose Eber. "From the start, they have embraced my vision and passion about the project."

"Our goal was to develop a cutting-edge design that breaks the current trend of spa-like salons and caters to hotel guests and locals," said Carolina Tombolesi, the project manager. "We wanted to create an original salon that celebrates Jose's talents as well as incorporates elements that are unique to Las Vegas."

The chic 5,000 square foot signature salon, inspired by Jose's vision and style, will feature an open contemporary loft-like space with state-of-the-art equipment that will offer an extraordinary client experience based around the concept of personal inner beauty.

"Our collaborative design will celebrate Jose's talents and push the imaginative limits of style and materials to create a phenomenal space featuring concrete floors, white leather, bronze metal, glass and floating ceiling planes that define the areas," said Glenn Rasmussen, the lead designer on the project.

According to Rasmussen, the Salon entrance, which combines the magic of mirrors and lights, was a nod to Las Vegas. "Moving through the space, you are swept up by the sensation of high energy inspired by the contemporary textures and style," he added. "Natural light streams through the overhead sky lights and is infused with custom lighting, adding to the jazzy, energetic, vibrant atmosphere of the salon."

In addition to the Shampoo, Hair Styling and Color Treatment areas, the Salon will feature Manicure and Pedicure areas, a Beauty Bar and Make up Stations. Clients can relax in the Waiting Area and enjoy cappuccinos and other beverages from the Coffee Bar. There will also be a Hair Product Retail area and a VIP room for clients who want total privacy.
