Piccadilly and Reverend Jesse Jackson Serve Up a 'Welcome Home-Cooked' Meal for Residents Returning to Louisiana

BATON ROGUE, La., Oct. 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Piccadilly Restaurants LLC, along with Reverend Jesse Jackson, today announced a 'welcome home-cooked' meal for displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina as they return home to Louisiana tomorrow, October 11. The caravan, led by Reverend Jackson, is expected to arrive at the 8908 Veterans Highway, Metairie, La. Piccadilly Restaurant location at approximately 12 PM CDT.

"Many of our employees, families and customers were affected greatly by the devastation of Katrina. We're humbled to offer a welcome home meal to some of the residents as they return to help rebuild the state we love and all call home," said Larry Reeher, vice president human resources, Piccadilly Restaurants LLC. "We are honored to work with Reverend Jackson and help provide for those who are in need -- marking another community milestone as we seek to return to normal."

The caravan departed Sunday from Chicago stopping in St. Louis, Memphis and Jackson, Miss. picking up displaced residents on their return to New Orleans. Piccadilly will greet Reverend Jackson and the residents with a hot meal and job applications for those interested in working at the chain's local restaurants.
