New Online Cookie And Gift Basket Shop Kicks Off With Campaign To Benefit Habitat For Humanity

WEST MONROE, La. (EWORLDWIRE) Oct 4, 2005

A realtor in northeast Louisiana had difficulty finding appropriate, family-friendly closing gifts for her clients. After much research, she has solved her problem by opening an online store featuring cookie bouquets, candy bouquets, cookies for all occasions, and gift baskets. The launch of Sweet Blessings, (www2sweetblessings.com) comes at a critical point in the history of both Louisiana and the nation as a whole.

While the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita did not affect the location of Sweet Blessings directly, it touched the founder's heart. To help those left homeless from the storms, Sweet Blessings is kicking off with a campaign to donate a portion of all profits to Habitat for Humanity. Customers can now satisfy a sweet tooth and offer a quality gift to family, friends and associates while taking part in providing homes for the unfortunate victims of the hurricanes.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide, and certainly a worthy cause given recent events in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
