CenturyFitness Utilizes Rovion's BlueStream(TM) Technology, Increasing Site Traffic by 49%
Matt Emig, Top Martial Art Expert, Shows Moves to Web Surfers in Innovative BlueStream(TM) Video Greeting
Rovion Inc., the leading creator of online
video spokespersons, has teamed-up with CenturyFitness
(www.centuryfitness.com) to provide streaming video greetings using its
proprietary BlueStream(TM) Technology.
Starting in August, a BlueStream(TM) video appeared on the CenturyFitness
web site in which top Martial Art expert, Matt Emig, shows off a series of
complicated fighting moves and then informs visitors of the 20% off sale on
online purchases of fighting weapons. The company has reported a 49%
increase in site traffic for the month of August and no slowing indicated
for September.
"Rovion's work with CenturyFitness proves that web surfers are looking for
innovation, something to captivate," notes Rovion CEO Len Ostroff. "And
the dynamic BlueStream(TM) video doesn't appear to be a flash in the pan --
it's something that will attract and sustain visits for months at a time
through word of mouth."
Rovion's BlueStream Direct(TM) product is a proprietary technology offered
to websites as a fully hosted solution for 'web guides,' promotions, direct
response, advertising, eLearning and a host of other uses. BlueStream(TM)
operates much like the "bluescreen" technology used for special effects in
both motion pictures and television, including virtually every TV
weathercast in the US. BlueStream brings the magical sensation of these
"impossible" images to the Web, creating the impression of living video
characters inside of the visitor's computer screen.
"When I saw a demo of Rovion's BlueStream technology I immediately thought,
'this is the closest convergence between the web and the dynamic energy of
television that I have ever seen,'" notes Century Internet Marketing
Manager Stacie Stewart. "Now that I have numbers to back it up, I'm
thinking this is the closest we can ever come to direct market
television/web."
President of Century Inc. Dan Bower commented, "The technology just makes
the site come alive."
Simplicity is a key factor in BlueStream's successful penetration of the
market. It only requires the website owner to add one line of JavaScript
to his/her web page. Rovion provides everything else to enable a lifelike
video overlay of a human being speaking to the website audience. For a
visitor to a BlueStream(TM)-enabled site, the videos appear seamlessly and
politely load in the background. BlueStream(TM) works with all standard
operating systems and browsers.
Results show that sites employing BlueStream(TM) have been able to retain
more visitors, keep them on the site longer, drive click-throughs, increase
sales and encourage them to fill out forms or order products on the site
more readily. More information is available at www.rovion.com or by
calling (410) 356-8680.
