Keren Peled Jewelry Featured on HGTV; Launches New Online Store

The exquisite jewelry and distinctive technique of Keren Peled will be featured on HGTV Oct. 6, coinciding with the launch of her new online store at www.kerenpeled.com.

Peled will demonstrate for viewers the steps involved in creating her "Fulla" bracelet and "Sephira" hair clasp on HGTV's "That's Clever," formerly known as "Crafters Coast to Coast." The episode airs at 12pm and 5pm, ET/PT.

Peled specializes in applying classic fiber techniques to metal by knitting, braiding, knotting, and crocheting silver and gold-filled wire with semi-precious stones and pearls.

The elegance of Peled's earrings, necklaces, and bracelets is inspired by the goddesses of ancient cultures, such as the Greek goddess, Thalia, whose festivity and humor are reflected in cascading gold, turquoise, citrine, and onyx in "Thalia" earrings. The new online store also showcases Peled's 2005 Holiday Collection, including Kamala, the goddess of passion, a regal gold-filled and Onyx necklace accented with a single tassel down the back.

Keren Peled Jewelry is also participating in the San Francisco International Fashion Week's Emerging Designers Showcase on Oct. 23, 1pm-3pm, accessorizing the Jeges Collection of handpainted silk clothing by Katalin Kelemen, : "It is hard to find such a talented jewelry designer who has quality work and who understands the elements of working with clothing. I am very lucky to have found this in Keren," says Kelemen. Peled will introduce several new pieces including a crocheted yarn and gold-filled wire sleeve bracelet, crocheted upper arm bracelets, and necklaces from the Holiday Collection. She also offers a sneak peak into her 2006 Spring Collection, which includes a tassel necklace with Tourmaline.

Peled's passion for jewelry design began at childhood. She has received much recognition for her jewelry including a merit award for her piece "Cleopatra's Mithreal" at the 2004 "Beauty of Women" Exhibit at Artisans Gallery in Mill Valley, California. Her work has been exhibited at national and international exhibits in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
