Kilopass to Present at ARM Developers' Conference as Part of a Special Industry Session Panel on Selecting Memory for Consumer Product Applications
Thursday, Oct. 6th, Santa Clara Convention Center
Who
Kilopass Technology, Inc., an emerging supplier of embedded non-volatile
memory (NVM) Intellectual Property (IP) based in Santa Clara, California,
will participate and present as part of a Special Industry Session panel,
the company organized for the ARM Developers' Conference. Charles Ng, VP of
Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Kilopass, will speak on selecting
non-volatile memory for embedded consumer applications.
What
Panel: Evaluating the Right Memory for Consumer-Product Chips
The rapid expansion of feature sets in consumer products such as cell
phones and PDAs is pushing the limits of embedded memories. Price pressure,
the need for vendor IP and user data security, and performance
requirements, are forcing designers of consumer-product chips to evaluate
both traditional and emerging memory technologies for their designs. This
panel discusses the pros and cons of several existing memory technologies
along with some "up and comers" targeted at future consumer appliances
handling communications and entertainment applications. Attendees will
learn about which of the various types of embedded memories are best for
different on-chip storage requirements and what requirements memory
technology will need to keep up with the rapidly evolving consumer chip
market.
Panelists:
Charles Ng, VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Kilopass
Ken Potts, Senior Director Memory Marketing, Virage Logic
Prasad Saggurti, Senior Product Manager for Memory Products, ARM
Frans J. List, Strategic Program Manager Embedded Memory Technology,
Philips Semiconductors
Mike Kaskowitz, President, VSIA
Moderator:
Jim Lipman - Contributing Editor, SOCcentral and TechOnLine
