James Dean Look-Alike Competition to Mark 50th Anniversary of Legendary Actor's Death
First American Woman to Write Book on Dean Celebrates His Legacy With September 30th Bash
The farm boy who took Hollywood by storm died
50 years ago this Friday.
James Dean historian Patricia A. Leone, a "White Witch" and New York City
business exec who spent months channeling the dead actor's spirit, is
holding a party that evening in New York's trendy Meatpacking District to
celebrate Dean and launch her new book, "James Dean/The Lost Memoirs."
Previously selected Dean look-alikes will read from the book at the event.
All profits from the party will benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Ms. Leone owns the New York City-based Dakota Consulting, an Architectural
Design/Build company. She is one of a handful of women working in the
construction business and is now the first American woman to write a book
on James Dean. Ms. Leone has previously written and produced the
well-received off-Broadway play "James Dean/A Dress Rehearsal."
Ms. Leone's "James Dean/The Lost Memoirs" is an extremely personal account
of Dean's tragically short life. Ms. Leone, a metaphysical practitioner,
was able to "communicate" with the spirit of the late actor to give us new
perspective on Dean's life, exposing his fears, desires, anger, sexuality
and premonitions.
Ms. Leone, a prolific businesswoman and writer, also recently produced a
documentary, "White Tiger/The Adventures of Thomas J. Abercrombie." He is
the original "Indiana Jones" of National Geographic and one of the world's
most respected photojournalists.
She is available for interviews and is an expert on this Hollywood
legend. This monumental anniversary will be of great interest to anyone
interested in the world of Hollywood, lovers of pop culture, and those
fascinated by the life and times of James Dean.
