Hitachi Medical Selects Trigeo SIM for Active Response
Distributor of Diagnostic Imaging Products Will Use TriGeo's Event Correlation and Active Response to Manage Network Security and Support Sarbox Compliance
TriGeo Network Security (www.trigeo.com),
the pioneer and leader of Automated Remediation through Intelligent
CorrelationTM, today announced that Hitachi Medical Systems America, Inc.,
a division of Hitachi, Ltd., (NYSE: HIT), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan,
selected TriGeo Security Information Manager (TriGeo SIM), for network
defense, security management and policy enforcement. With TriGeo, Hitachi
Medical Systems America, Inc. will manage, track and respond to suspicious
network activity, as well as, comply with various regulations, including
Sarbanes-Oxley and COBIT.
"The main reason we are implementing the TriGeo SIM is because it was the
only proactive solution," James Hallman, Manager, Information Services with
Hitachi Medical Systems America (HMSA). "Everything else we looked at was
reactionary and required some form of manual intervention. TriGeo actually
suspends suspicious activity on the network as it is happening and notifies
my staff of the activity."
TriGeo takes a unique approach to security information management by
combining real-time log analysis and event correlation with the industry's
largest repository of active responses. This combination will be
instrumental in helping HMSA identify suspicious and malicious activity and
enforce network policy, without complex programming.
Another key factor in HMSA's decision to select TriGeo was its low cost of
ownership. "The moment I saw the product I said to myself, 'This looks
great,' said Hallman. "It will do everything that I want and I won't have
to hire an FTE to manage it. We have to have it."
"Sophisticated security management solutions with robust, real-time
features traditionally come with a hefty price tag and have previously been
available only to Fortune 1000 companies," said Michelle Dickman, CEO of
TriGeo Network Security. "We recognized that the rest of the market faced
the same security challenges and regulatory pressures, and needed a product
that didn't require a dedicated security team."
TriGeo is designed for rapid implementation, configuration and tuning. It
provides hundreds of out of the box correlation rules, and has the
industry's most flexible and powerful correlation rule builder. It
integrates with virtually every network infrastructure component from
firewalls to anti-virus, supports a variety of operating systems, bundles
intrusion detection and produces over 140 stock reports. TriGeo is a
significant weapon in any network security and regulatory compliance
arsenal.
