Texas-Based MessageOne at Highest Alert Level Supporting Organizations Through Hurricane Rita
32 Companies Currently Active; 40 More Scheduled for Activations Planned Before Landfall
In the path of Hurricane Rita, more than 70
companies in Texas and parts of Louisiana have turned to MessageOne to
prepare their organizations with business continuity solutions that
maintain email availability and provide emergency notification services.
MessageOne, the fastest growing business continuity company, is on the
highest alert to meet its customers' needs during the impending crisis.
Closely following last month's Hurricane Katrina, MessageOne served more
than 50 customers during that significant disaster.
As part of their disaster preparedness plans, 32 companies have already
activated MessageOne Emergency Mail Service, which provides guaranteed
email continuity, and AlertFind that provides automated emergency
notification and escalation alerts.
Currently activated companies include Exmar Offshore, the Houston-based
provider of marine vessel design and project support services to the
offshore industry. Johnson, Rice and Company, Acme Truck Line, Andrews &
Kurth, LLP and Adams & Reese, LLP. Another 41 customers have gone on
stand-by mode ready for immediate activation with a phone call or email
message.
In anticipation of shutting down our Houston operations, and evacuating
employees to other locations, Exmar Offshore instantly invoked
MessageOne's EMS service. "As a major provider of engineering design and
resources to the worlds leading oil exploration firms, many of whom operate
rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, business continuity is not an option," said
Harris Knecht, President of Exmar. "MessageOne EMS is enabling us to keep
the lines of communication open with our global clients and parent company
in Europe. We trust MessageOne with the highest reliability and they've
come through when we need them the most."
Current customers seeking assistance can immediately call MessageOne 24
hours a day, toll-free, at 1-888-367-0777 or via email at
support@messageone.com. For those not currently a MessageOne client and in
need of assistance with email recovery, emergency notification or
application availability, help is still available at 512-652-4500. In many
instances, MessageOne customers can deploy and be up, running, and
protected in less than one hour.
"During this potentially catastrophic event, MessageOne's crisis response
team is standing by and supporting clients at the highest alert levels,
ready to assist those whose organizations and businesses have, or will be,
incapacitated and impacted by Hurricane Rita," said MessageOne CEO Satin
Mirchandani. "Our success supporting customers during Hurricane Katrina
has heightened the preparedness of our crisis response team to handle any
disaster thoroughly and reliably."
