2005 National Electrical Code(NEC) (R) changes two days (NU)

Attendees get a complete review of the changes made to the 2005 NEC, including many new, and deleted rules. NTT will teach how to find the rules that apply to any facility, and will answer specific code questions. In addition, restructured, new articles and how they apply to a facility will be covered.

Attendees will gain a basic understanding of the 2005 NEC, including many of the major changes and new material in the 2005 NEC.

The seminar teaches branch circuit, feeder and service calculations that have been reorganized within Article 220. New classifications in hazardous areas that have been updated for combustible dusts, ignitable fibers and flyings will be explained. Students will gain an understanding of the revisions to AFCI protection requirements including which GFCI protection requirements that have been revised. The seminar will also discuss new code articles that reference both speed drives and control panels as well as labeling changes that affect both feeder conductors and ungrounded branch circuit conductors.
