Capital Ties Releases Tribute Necktie To The Donald

NEW YORK (EWORLDWIRE) Sep 19, 2005

A fun and fashionable necktie paying tribute to real estate mogul and legendary businessman Donald J. Trump was released today by Capital Ties, a New York company.

"It is a simple repeat of private jets, trump cards and men carrying combs," muses Stuart Hotchkiss, designer and owner of Capital Ties. "I remember meeting Mr. Trump last year and him telling me that making a fuss about his hair is actually quite flattering." That chance meeting and comment made it justifiable for Hotchkiss to poke a little fun at Trump's hair and still call it a tribute.

Deciding that Trump's hair had to be integral to the design was the easy part. Drawing the right image proved much more difficult and required input from six different graphic and textile designers. "It turned out to be impossible to draw Mr. Trump and his hair into the design, but one designer suggested using a comb and that ended up being the clever compromise."

In his advertising copy for The Donald necktie, Hotchkiss writes that Mr. Trump "has fascinated us with his property and casinos, élite lifestyle and beautiful wives. But if candidates really want that dream job of a lifetime, can't someone just bring him a comb?"

Capital Ties neckwear is made in the U.S.A. from 100 percent imported silk twill fabric. Neckties measure 58 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. Bow ties are 2 1/2 inches high in the classic butterfly shape and must be tied. Ladies fashion scarves are 36 inches square with hand-rolled edges.
