Iraqi Citizen to Receive Reward for Turning in IED and Three Suspects

TIKRIT, Iraq--Task Force Liberty Soldiers detained three men suspected of emplacing an improvised explosive device near Hawija after receiving a citizen tip Sept. 17.

The citizen told Task Force Liberty he witnessed the men hiding the device consisting of a 155mm artillery round.

Soldiers were directed to the suspects, who tested positive for explosives, and detained them for questioning.

The citizen who provided the tip will receive a cash reward.
