DigitalPulp Publishing To Publish John Bourne's Death Of Innocence
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (EWORLDWIRE) Sep 16, 2005
Death of Innocence is the story of a middle-aged man who is suddenly tempted with a large sum of stolen, likely untraceable, money. He cannot resist the lure of the loot and begins laundering the money, only to be hunted by the original thieves. The criminals hunt the man, kidnap his wife, and from there, things get even worse.
"I have seen too much of the consequences of succumbing to temptation and that gave me the idea of writing about it," says John Bourne, who spent 18 years with the Kent Police and is an ordained minister in the Church of England. "We humans have an ability to convince ourselves that right is wrong."
"It is always fascinating to explore the various ways in which we fool ourselves," says Genene Miller Coté, CEO of DigitalPulp Publishing. "John has created a masterful tale of greed and redemption."
Bourne was born 1949 in Brighton, on the south coast of England. In 1970 he and his wife settled in Kent where he joined Kent Police. Bourne left the Police in 1990 to study for the Christian Ministry. He was ordained at Canterbury Cathedral in 1991 and accepted the position as the Vicar of Marden, Kent and Chaplain of Her Majesty's Prison Blantyre House. He retired in 2003 and has taken up writing, a long held ambition. In the last years, he has published one book and two short stories.
DigitalPulp Publishing publishes and distributes literature and fiction for the digital age. E-books are readable on all popular digital devices: PDAs (Pocket PC/Palm), e-book readers, cell phones and computers. Audio books (m-books) can be heard on any MP3 player.
