Colbi Technologies, Inc.: New Software Release Helps School Districts And Community Colleges Maintain Fiscal Responsibility
TUSTIN, Calif. (EWORLDWIRE) Sep 15, 2005
Colbi Technologies, Inc. (Colbi) has released its new version of Account-Ability, a software application that currently manages over $3 billion in school construction funds. This software application provides school districts and community colleges with the tools they need to manage project budgets, cash flow projections, annual appropriations, contract criteria, payment processing and audit documentation for construction projects.
"I like this product because it solves problems, prevents problems, and saves staff time," said Mamie Starr, director of facilities for Lodi Unified School District. "For 20 years I have been seeking a way to successfully use technology to deal with the intricacies of school construction project budget planning, funding allocation, expenditure reporting and State closeout. Accountability does it all - and the best part is - it does it well."
The new Release of Account-Ability includes a project navigator that puts detailed information on budgets, contracts, warrants as well as regulatory reporting detail at the user's finger tips. The drill-down environment allows a user to select a project and warrant (payment) and immediately drill down to a contract containing historical data on transactions, purchase orders, withholding, retention, change orders and pending changes -all in just a few seconds.
Account-Ability was designed by Lettie Boggs. Boggs is on the board of directors for both the Coalition for Adequate School Housing and Californians for School Facilities, a federal action committee formerly known as Cal-Fed. She is founding chair of the CASH Urban Issues Committee and is a contributing member to the CASH Legislative Committee. She has served as State Chair for Facilities for the California Association of School Business Officials and represented CASBO on the Implementation Committee for the State Allocation Board. Boggs held fiscal and facilities positions in school districts for over seventeen years, most recently as Assistant Superintendent for the Anaheim City Schools. She has been an instructor of accounting, an accountant for construction companies, and business manager for an architectural firm in addition to her school business experience.
