"Undiscovered" Star's Hairstyle Was August's Most Searched for Coif According to Leading Beauty Site BeautyRiot.com

Women searched for pictures of Ashlee Simpson's hairstyle in August more than any other celebrity's, according to statistics from BeautyRiot.com (www.beautyriot.com). The music star recently switched back to a sunny blonde hair color from her eye-catching chocolate brown shade. Her seemingly daily hair color changes in the last days of August likely drove up Web searches on her hairstyle.

Simpson, who has just made her acting debut in the motion picture, "Undiscovered," had far and away the most searched upon hairstyle among BeautyRiot's over 500,000 August visitors. Ashlee's sister, Jessica Simpson came in at second place, and television star Nicole Richie took third. Despite Ashlee's search popularity, once visitors arrived at BeautyRiot.com, more of them looked at her sister Jessica's shag hairstyle from a few months ago than any other style.

"Ashlee Simpson appeals to women of all ages," said BeautyRiot.com's editor in chief, Kirsten Lambertsen. "Blonde, brunette or redhead, she's utterly gorgeous. She's adventurous and cutting edge with her look, and that's inspiring to our visitors. We can hardly wait to see what she does next!"

BeautyRiot.com's visitors also searched most for the hairstyles of enduring hair icon Jennifer Aniston and pop star Hilary Duff. Statistics were gathered from over 500,000 users and over seven million page views at BeautyRiot.com in August 2005. Visitors to the site can view over 345 photos and hairstyles of over 75 different celebrities.
