Equity Homes, A Local Northern Virginia Home Builder, To Contribute To Hurricane Disaster Fund
FAIRFAX, Va. (EWORLDWIRE) Sep 8, 2005
With the tragic and catastrophic events unfolding in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama as a result of the devastating hurricane Katrina, Robert Fitton II, president of Equity Homes in Fairfax, Virginia felt the need to make a difference. "Our thoughts and prayers go to the survivors," said Fitton. "It's extremely difficult to watch from afar, feeling helpless, and not be compelled to want to do something, anything. There are lives that have been devastated. People who have lost everything and have no hope. More than anything, we want to help rebuild that hope."
Equity Homes will donate $5,000 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and will continue to contribute $250 on behalf of each of their new home owners who purchase an Equity Home between now and the end of the year. Additionally, Fitton would encourage others within the building industry to join in the relief effort any way they can.
