Crossfire War: Eurasia; Negotiation Breakdown with Tehran - Called Off by EU3
By Willard Payne
Night Watch: PARIS - Some disturbing reality may have dawned on the EU3, France, Britain and Germany, because they have just called off negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program, that were to be conducted August 31.
French Foreign Ministry spokesman Jean-Baptiste Mattei was quoted by Reuters at a news briefing, "There will, in fact, be no negotiations meeting on Aug. 31 since the Iranians have decided to suspend application of the Paris Agreement. So by common accord between the three Europeans it is clear that there will be no negotiations meeting... as long as the Iranians remain outside the Paris Agreement."
The agreement was made in Paris, November 2004 and as this site mentioned repeatedly Iran never had any intention of honoring it. Recently Iran’s lead negotiator, who was honored and praised in Tehran yesterday, laughed at the EU on Iranian television. He said Iran never really suspended anything and the EU’s contribution, upon entering the negotiations, gave Iran another year to complete its program. And that Iran now has more of a stockpile of material.
Mattei concluded, "That does not mean there will be no contact with the Iranians. We have contact with the Iranians. The three European countries have embassies there." While the embassies are there they can eventually discuss he effectiveness of the weapons preformances, against India, Russia and the West.
