Arrest of 36 Suspects in Iraq Within 24 hours, Sunday

Combined forces conducted a cordon-search operation targeting several homes in Haditha on Sunday. The operation resulted in capturing 6 suspects and the confiscation of 5 AK-47 automatic rifles.
Iraqi Security Forces in Hawija and Mugdadiyah found two IEDs and a weapons cache consisting of three artillery rounds with remote control initiators.
The Iraqi forces defused the three VBIED and no casualties or damage was reported.
In Samarra, three weapons caches were found. Weapons included tank rounds, hand grenades, artillery rounds and mortar rounds.
A traffic control point in Rawah captured three suspected terrorists with anti-election banners.
There was a drive by shooting on a polling station in Mosul. No casualties or damage was reported.
Iraqi Security Forces captured 9 suspects including three suspects involved with mortar attacks on security forces in northern region.
The combined forces in Khalidiyah captured eight suspected terrorists with IED-making materials consisting of four propane bottles, UHF receivers and other electronic devices.
Iraqi forces arrested 9 other terrorists.
