Firstlogic Postal Automation Development Department Earns CMMI(R) Level 2 Appraisal
Advanced Level of Software Development Planning Demonstrates Excellence From Project Management to Software Delivery
Firstlogic, Inc., a global provider of
enterprise-wide postal automation and data quality solutions, today honored
the company's Postal Automation development division, the software team
responsible for architecting premiere Firstlogic high-performance postal
address management solutions. The team has been rated by the Carnegie
Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) (http://www.sei.cmu.edu) as
performing at a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® Level 2
maturity level. This appraisal demonstrates a commitment to excellence in
project management, software development and delivery. CMMI Level 2
appraisal for Postal Automation software development means Firstlogic
customers, including government-related organizations, can meet
organizational requirements to select products that have had an outside
audit of a software product's lifecycle, from conception to delivery.
"This achievement demonstrates our commitment to continuously improve our
processes and provides recognition of the dedication to excellence that
exists within our development teams," said Jeff Hay, the development
department manager for Firstlogic Postal Automation.
Firstlogic's postal automation solutions offer global address
identification and assignment for leading Postal Services and courier

Firstlogic's variety of offerings for flexible, tunable address management,
including address learning, directory lookup, video coding and data

facto standard of excellence in software engineering," said William Green,
assistant vice president and general manager of Firstlogic's Postal
Automation division. "Firstlogic Postal Automation customers benefit from
our demonstrated commitment to the continuous improvement of our processes
