Eisai Inc. Honors Employee for Outstanding Community Involvement

Eisai Inc. recently announced its 2004 National human health care (hhc) Award winner, Suzan Graves of Batesville, Mississippi, for extraordinary contributions to her community. More than 600 Eisai sales representatives were eligible for this prestigious honor.

Named for the company's hhc mission, the award emphasizes Eisai's commitment to satisfy unmet medical needs and increase benefits to patients and their families. The award helps support this mission by recognizing one Eisai sales representative who has consistently practiced and promoted human health care in their business and community activities while ensuring the company's values -- integrity, respect, professionalism, quality and teamwork -- are exemplified.

Ms. Graves was recognized for her dedication to the hhc mission, including:

--  Involvement in local Alzheimer's Association chapters, including
    coordination of a local 2004 Memory Walk
--  Participation in her local Alzheimer's support group and
    transportation of caregivers to meetings
--  Involvement in CARE Fair, an annual program designed to help educate
    healthcare providers, students and caregivers about the treatment and care
    of elderly patients
--  Support of education programs for nurses, nurse's aids and recent
    nursing graduates regarding current therapies, disease diagnosis and
    patient care
--  Creation of seven pieces of original artwork depicting local
    historical events, people and places that were donated to nursing homes
--  Coordination of visits to local nursing homes by youth groups and
    musicians
--  Participation in such organizations as Meals on Wheels ,Women's Abuse
    Assistance, Panola County Humane Society and Lafayette County Humane
    Society
