Get Up Close and Personal With Lance Armstrong

When it comes to getting all the inside
information on Lance Armstrong and the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team,
no one does a better job of it than Trek's team Liaison, Scott Daubert.
Scott has been the go-to guy for Lance and Trek for the last four years and
since 2004 he has been letting the outside world have a rare look inside
with his Road To The Tour web column found on the Insider Perspectives page
at the Trek Bicycles web site (www.trekbikes.com).

Scott first started working with Lance in 1999 when Lance participated in
some mountain bike races with the Trek team. It wasn't until The Lance
Chronicles debuted on OLN last year that his close working relationship
with the Tour de France winner really came to light.
"From flying in a private jet with Lance to ride in the Canary Islands, to
setting up bikes for him at the Tour de France, my job is to relay
performance notes from the harsh European race environment back to Trek
headquarters. I monitor how the Trek frames and Bontrager components are
performing for the team. With that information we can make better products
for the team and better products for bike riders everywhere," said Scott
Daubert.
Starting this week, Scotty's Road To The Tour web column goes weekly. In
his first June installment, he sheds light on some of the latest Trek
technology being tested right now in France by Lance and the Discovery
Channel team. For anyone who wants the most up to date and inside news on
the Discovery squad, Scott Daubert's column is the place to start!
