Spike Television's Extreme 4x4 Selects Hill Killer Transmissions To Provide A Hill Killer Allison 1000 Transmission For Its 1,000 Horsepower Hybrid Vehicle

MESA, Ariz. (EWORLDWIRE) Jun 29, 2005

Hill Killer Transmissions, a leading global supplier of custom high performance auto and truck transmissions, today announced that an agreement was finalized today to provide Extreme 4x4 with a 1,000 horsepower 1,200 pounds per foot of torque transmission.

Hill Killer recommended using an Allison 1000 Series (Duramax) transmission over a General Motors 4l80E because the Allison has five forward gears instead of four, a deeper first gear and close ratios for a superior torque and grade ability at bottom end, while achieving high speed performance on the top end. The stock Allison is rated for 300 horse power and 520 pounds per foot of torque, which provides a sound platform to become a Hill Killer, and Dyno out, over double the stock rating, 1,000 horse power and 1,200 pounds per foot of torque.

"We are working with Hill Killer Transmissions because they don't just get the job done, they stop us from having to use another companies pre-built Saturday night special and they exceed our expectations, by custom making a transmission, to fit our needs," said Ian Johnson, chief builder for Spike Televisions Extreme 4x4. "We know what we want, and if your building a special application vehicle, or need a transmission for the vehicle you tow with, it's important to partner with a company you can trust and delivers exactly what you want, that's real value."

"It's exciting to be both on the cutting edge and to also have a solid reputation, for Extreme use transmissions," said Wayne Martella chief executive officer of Hill Killer Transmissions. "That means that we get to work with clients like Extreme 4x4who need innovative approaches backed by an established name."

Hill Killer custom builds transmissions for a client's horse power, torque and application needs. Hill Killer has a complete line of General Motors, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi diesel and gas transmissions.
