Enhanced Video Security for Transportation, Airports, Rail and Nuclear Facilities Offered by BroadWare and ARINC
Integration of Two Complementary Technologies Delivers More Capable, More Cost-Effective Interactive Video Surveillance

BroadWare Technologies, Inc., the leader in
distributed video surveillance, has partnered with ARINC Incorporated, the
world leader in transportation communications and systems engineering, to
increase the responsiveness and scalability of surveillance and security
systems for organizations that face increasing security challenges. This
new partnership enables ARINC to deliver more powerful security solutions
for its airport, rail and other transportation customers, and supports
BroadWare's expansion into new security markets such as nuclear power
generation plants.

"ARINC is a trusted integrator with a superior reputation and dominant
presence in airport and rail markets, while BroadWare's technology solves
pressing video, operational, and security problems," said Peter McDonald,
Senior Director of Business Development for BroadWare. "Their depth of
experience and market-specific expertise will assist BroadWare in
delivering new technologies to solve customer problems and in pursuing new
market opportunities more effectively."
ARINC is integrating the advanced digital BroadWare Media Platform, which
delivers live and archived distributed video surveillance capabilities,
with the ARINC Advanced Information Management (AIM®) security platform.
The result is an easy-to-use integrated interface for all control and
security operations. The combination of these two complementary platforms
will allow ARINC's customers to instantly access every video camera on a
network from every AIM workstation in each facility, resulting in a single
wired and wireless solution for viewing, storing and managing real-time
video among numerous cameras and users. Together, these consolidated
detection and notification solutions will enable ARINC AIM customers to
respond more effectively and recover more rapidly from security threats and
events.
The ARINC AIM platform provides centralized control of a broad range of
security technologies and functions including intrusion detection systems,
fire control systems, access control systems, intelligent video analytics
and biometric devices. Like the AIM system, BroadWare's video surveillance
platform is based on open standards and is optimized to accept new devices
and applications to view, store and manage real-time video in a networked
environment.
"Starting today, our integrated AIM security capability raises the bar for
video performance of all centralized security management systems," said
Denny Lengyel, ARINC Vice President, Surface Transportation and Energy
Systems. "Because it is based on open systems, a joint ARINC / BroadWare
solution helps customers dramatically improve the responsiveness of their
security and surveillance teams today, and enables them to reliably and
cost-efficiently expand their security operations in the future."
The joint ARINC / BroadWare solution is a highly cost-effective way for
users to take advantage of the full range of new IP video technology
becoming available. It creates a unique, low-risk bridge to next-generation
products, achieves better bandwidth management than other solutions and
offers a superior path to incorporating multiple technologies in one
system.
"Our partnership with ARINC exemplifies the growing adoption of BroadWare's
technology among top-tier system integrators who specialize in building
network video and information distribution solutions specifically designed
to support responsiveness, decision making and flexibility," said Bill
Stuntz, CEO of BroadWare. "Unlike conventional proprietary systems that
lock users into specific hardware and software, the BroadWare platform
enables systems integrators like ARINC to easily integrate their choice of
third-party technologies, while designing systems that scale massively and
evolve easily as new technologies are introduced."
