Intacct Announces IBM WebSphere Business Integration-Based Adapter for Adding Third-Party Applications to ERP On Demand
Customers and Growing Network of Application Partners Benefit From Plug-and-Play Integration

Intacct Corporation, the leading provider of
on-demand ERP, today announced close collaboration with IBM to develop a
new integration service to connect applications using IBM WebSphere
Business Integration infrastructure to Intacct's ERP On Demand suite. The
WebSphere-based software adapter, which both IBM and Intacct will promote,
automates real-time workflows between Intacct's Web-based ERP suite and
standalone systems, such as e-commerce, manufacturing and workforce
optimization.
This powerful integration service benefits from IBM industry leading
strength in helping customers use WebSphere software as the foundation of
service-oriented architecture, a standard-based approach to transform to On
Demand businesses that integrate data across the enterprise, and externally
with customers, partners and suppliers as well as link business and IT to
drive down cost and create new opportunities for growth.
Intacct delivers financial, supply chain, professional services automation
and business analytics software as a service to midsize and large
corporations for a monthly subscription fee. Dozens of software companies
partner with Intacct to enhance ERP On Demand with best-of-breed
functionalities, such as PLM, CRM, HR and payroll. The WebSphere-based
software adapter lets users quickly, easily and securely create integrated
processes that exchange information between both
Web-native and premise-based enterprise software.
Intacct recently launched revolutionary customization and integration
services to elevate its ERP suite to a strategic platform for customers to
build end-to-end business applications. With CustomERP and ConnectERP,
companies no longer require programming resources for the ERP system to
"talk" to external legacy and Web-based applications. The software adapter,
available in the fourth quarter of 2005, will be a component of Intacct's
ConnectERP integration service.
"IBM is focused on enabling our customers to become On Demand businesses --
able to integrate business processes and quickly react to market
opportunities," said Buell Duncan, general manager, ISV and Developer
Relations, IBM. "The power and flexibility of WebSphere Business
Integration combined with Intacct's comprehensive ERP functionality provide
customers with the flexible IT infrastructure required to transform
themselves into On Demand businesses."
"Customers are frustrated with the limitations of one-size-fit-all
solutions, which require industry-specific business processes to be
tailored around generic software systems," said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO
and president of Intacct. "Working closely with IBM, Intacct enables the
Federated Ecosystem, where companies can bundle the enterprise applications
they need to run successful businesses. Bridging the gap between our
Web-native applications and traditional software expands Intacct's partner
network into larger markets."
