Orlando-Based Motivational Speaker And Chronic Pain Survivor Rowe Jones To Address Global Medical Symposium June 25 At King's College, London

Rowe Jones, an Orlando-based motivational speaker and chronic pain survivor who teaches life-enhancement strategies for chronic pain sufferers, joins an international team of neurosurgeons, neurologists and pain management specialists invited to present at a Trigeminal Neuralgia Association symposium June 25 at Kings College, London.

Jones, the only patient presenter for the conference, will share his powerful message of surviving with chronic pain and TN, a condition that causes "the worst pain known to man," specialists say.

Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a cranial nerve disorder that causes intense, stabbing, electric shock-like pain in the face. TN sufferers experience pain in the lips, eyes, nose, scalp, forehead and jaws.

Jones' message "is full of hope, stresses self-reliance and talks about the value of gaining a positive outlook, traits that should be well received, just as they are here in the U.S.," he says.

Conference presenters include University of Florida psycho-immunologist Beree Darby, Ph.D.; author and oral physician Joanna Zakrzewska, M.D., head of the Department of Oral Medicine, St. Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, London, England; neurological surgery professor Hugh Coakham, M.D., Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, England; and neurology and pain science professor Turo Nurmikko, M.D., the Walton Centre, Liverpool, England.

The Trigeminal Neuralgia Association (TNA) works to improve the quality of life of TN patients through programs that empower them and their caregivers through education on treatment options, diagnosis and medical research. "Together we will end the pain" is the non-profit international organization's motto.

TNA-UK's Carole Straker says Rowe Jones brings his personal story to the conference.
