Donald Beaver Joins PETsMART as Senior Vice President, CIO

PETsMART, Inc. (NASDAQ: PETM) appointed Donald E. Beaver senior vice president and chief information officer, effective May 23, 2005. He will lead all aspects of business information development for the company including supply chain, financial, marketing and store operations systems. He will report to Tim Kullman, senior vice president and chief financial officer, and replaces David King, who left the company earlier this year.

"Don brings us experience, knowledge and strength of leadership, and the kind of breakthrough thinking the organization needs moving forward."

Beaver was most recently senior vice president and CIO for H-E-B Grocery Co., an $11 billion multi-national retailer, which he joined in 1999. Previously, he served 14-years at Allied Signal Aerospace, Inc., where he left as vice president and CIO of their marketing, sales and service division. Beaver began his career at Eastman Kodak, where he was a programmer analyst. He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematical computer science with a minor in business from Lock Haven University.

Beaver is a pet parent to two cats, Carly and Chloe.
