Raxco Software's PerfectDisk Wins the Trust of Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. (USA) by Improving PC and Server System Performance

IT Team Free to Work Smarter With Focus on Key IT Projects Versus Support Calls About Slow Computers

Raxco Software, the worldwide leader in disk defragmentation software, announced today Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. (USA) has purchased PerfectDisk® for 250 workstations and 40 servers, and PerfectDisk for Exchange on four Microsoft® Exchange data store servers. The net result is a significant improvement in boot time, application speed and overall productivity.

The FDIC insured bank, with offices in New Jersey, had previously used another utility software, but discovered that the disk defragger software wasn't thoroughly defragging the hard drives as had been expected.

"As an old Diskeeper® user, I noticed that it did not defragment hard drives or consolidate free space as thoroughly as PerfectDisk does," said James Hartin, Vice President of Network Systems at Sumitomo Trust & Banking (USA).

"PerfectDisk's peer-to-peer architecture allows me to manage the entire enterprise from a single console of my choosing, and this enhanced manageability and flexibility is a valuable tool," added Hartin. "With PerfectDisk, we can really see much better system performance, and this gives us the peace of mind we need to concentrate on other server and workstation issues. PerfectDisk does what it says; it defrags drives thoroughly and completely."

PerfectDisk proactively prevents workstation and server problems associated with the fragmentation of files across the system disk by defragmenting both files and free space in a single pass. The software is also the first defragmentation utility certified by Microsoft for Windows® 2000 and Windows Server(TM) 2003, and is fully integrated with Microsoft's Active Directory® services.

"Workstations and servers need large blocks of contiguous free space to operate optimally, and we're delighted that more and more large enterprises like Sumitomo see the value and ROI that PerfectDisk delivers through faster-running and faster-booting PCs and servers," said Joe Abusamra, vice president of operations at Raxco Software.
