Consulting Magazine Announces Nominations for 2005 Top 25 Consultants

IBM Business Consulting & Deloitte Earn Most Nominations

The editors of Consulting Magazine today announced nominations for its annual ranking of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants. With their names placed on an election ballot, the career accomplishments of the 75 nominees are now being judged by Consulting Magazine's board of advisors -- a group of consulting leaders representing 14 leading firms.

"This list speaks to the wealth of career opportunities in consulting today and the sizable contribution consulting professionals have made to industry and government," says Jack Sweeney, editor-in-chief of Consulting Magazine.

"The most successful firms understand that the nature of consulting work demands that consultants be more than just cogs in the wheel -- no matter what size a firm may be," adds Sweeney.

This year's list of nominees included 75 consultants representing an array of both small and large firms. However, the profession's largest firms this year held sway, with IBM Business Consulting Services capturing seven nominations and Deloitte Consulting capturing five nominations.

Among those consultants who advanced to the Top 25 inner circle last year were a currency exchange expert based in Iraq, a merger integration guru whose clients include Hewlett-Packard/Compaq, and a Mandarin-speaking financial maverick based in Shanghai. The 2005 Top 25 consultants will be profiled in next month's Issue of Consulting Magazine. A listing of this year's nominees, along with their firms, is currently available on www.ConsultingMag.com.
