Gore to Become Exclusive Distributor of Datascope's InterVascular Graft Products in the U.S.

Datascope Corp. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Gore), under which Gore will become the exclusive distributor of InterVascular Inc.'s full line of polyester grafts and patches in the United States, effective May 1, 2005. InterVascular is a wholly owned subsidiary of Datascope.

In Europe, where InterVascular is a leading provider of polyester grafts, the InterVascular product line will continue to be marketed by InterVascular's dedicated sales professionals and exclusive distributors. In other international markets, InterVascular's products will continue to be sold by an extensive distribution network.

InterVascular's U.S. product line includes the InterGard® line of collagen coated, knitted and woven polyester grafts for aortic and peripheral vascular procedures, the HemaCarotid and HemaPatch line of cardiovascular patches, and InterGard Heparin, a heparin bonded polyester graft.

The decision to enter into a relationship with Gore was based on Gore's strong presence in the vascular graft market. Gore is the worldwide leader in the sale of ePTFE peripheral grafts for the vascular surgery market. The InterVascular product will be sold by Gore's U.S. Vascular Surgery Sales Team and will be co-branded under the InterVascular and Gore names.

In the fiscal year ended June 30, 2004, InterVascular achieved total sales of $30.9 million, or 9% of Datascope's consolidated sales of $343.3 million.
