Jupiter Global Holdings, Corp. Announces VoIP Industry to Be Greater Opportunity Then Previously Expected for VOXBOX
JUPITER Global Holdings, Corp. ("JUPITER" or
the "Company") today notifies its shareholders that
according to VoIP Industry reports and news the VoIP business is gaining in
prominence and size rapidly and is therefore proving to be a greater
opportunity than previously expected for its VOXBOX business.
Ray Hawkins, CEO of JUPITER, commented: "We feel it is important for our
shareholders to stay well informed of trends in the industries of our
holdings. Current and prospective shareholders should keep a long term
thinking approach to their holdings in JUPITER as we believe VOXBOX is an
excellent holding for the Company especially now with the VOIP industry
making such progress. "
The following are the highlights of VoIP industry news and reports that
give the Company reason for increased confidence about the opportunity
VOXBOX has:
-- Insight Research has reported the global market for Internet telephony
will reach $82 billion this year and $196.5 billion by 2007.
-- Vonage, the current leader in VoIP services recently announce it is
providing 500,000 lines of services to its subscriber base. Industry
experts have previously estimated Vonage's value at $1.5 Billion based on
its past milestone of 200,000 subscriber lines. JUPITER believes this
growth of Vonage is a positive for VOXBOX as it shows the potential value
of a large subscriber base. JUPITER furthermore believes that the
dealership network VOXBOX is building is a great way for VOXBOX to rapidly
acquire subscribers and therefore gain a foothold in the market and also
possibly be an attractive takeover target.
-- Telecommunications analyst Jeff Kagan has been quoted as saying, "The
telecommunications network is being reinvented. We're in the beginning of a
10-year transformation in which the traditional phone network is going to
give way to VoIP."
-- A recent article in redherring.com discussed AOL will be launching its
VoIP service within the next month. In that same article an AOL executive
mentioned that they are entering VoIP for the growth potential. JUPITER
feels that another major company entering the VoIP business adds legitimacy
to the industry.
-- Nortel Networks recently announced it is moving aggressively to deploy
VoIP services. JUPITER feels that as companies like Nortel help to build
out better backend networks for VoIP services this will only make the VoIP
service reliability better, translating into more potential customers ready
to trade their phone line for a VoIP line from companies like VOXBOX.
Ray Prescott, CEO of VOXBOX, stated: "We have always known the VoIP
industry potential was immense, but it is very apparent that the industry
is maturing rapidly and developments are occurring at a faster pace than we
expected. The growth of Vonage and their speculated valuation is a key
telltale sign of the opportunity we have. This revelation is exciting for
VOXBOX and JUPITER as it affirms not only our decision to be in the VoIP
business but also our efforts to move quickly. We will continue to be
aggressive with our deployment and I believe the developments in the
industry are great for the future of VOXBOX and for the JUPITER
shareholders."

VOXBOX allows you to make telephone calls using the Internet. When placing
a VoIP call using a phone with a VOXBOX adapter, you'll hear a dial tone
and dial just as you always have. Voice Over IP converts the voice signal
from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the Internet
then converts it back at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a
regular phone number.
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to
make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a
regular (or analog) phone line. Further information on how VoIP works can
