The American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) announces its 63rd International Scientific and Educational conference on Complementary, Alternative, and Integrative Medicine (CAIM) entitled "Menopause, Andropause; Power in Transition."

Experts predict that 49.5 million American women will experience menopause by the year 2020, and currently, 85% of menopausal women experience hot flashes. Yet a growing body of research is revealing a significant increase in disease risk in menopausal women taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Furthermore, 5-19 million American men are experiencing a little-known phenomenon called Andropause, the "male menopause." The latest scientific research in hormone imbalance lends support to the use of more natural and noninvasive treatments of these conditions.
