Cellulite Defeated By New Techonology Available Through Plano Aesthetics Center

When it comes to cellulite, those who have it know that diet and exercise don't eliminate it. An estimated 90 percent of women have cellulite.

A 40-45 minute, non-invasive procedure is effective ammunition for a woman's battle against her nemesis - cellulite. It's a fat shrinking medical device called VelaSmooth.

VelaSmooth, developed by Syneron Medical, Ltd., uses ELOS, light energy and radio frequency energy to heat the fat. Mechanical rollers massage the skin and in combination break down fat and mobilize water from tissues to safely contour the skin's surface. The process then gradually re-defines the orange-peel or cottage cheese appearance. The body then naturally expels the fat.

Still pending Food and Drug Administration approval, Plano Aesthetics Center - a participant in clinical trials - possesses a VelaSmooth machine.

VelaSmooth is unlike endermologie treatments and produces better results. There are only about 40 medical facilities in the United States that currently have the VelaSmooth technology. VelaSmooth is expected to follow Health Canada's approval with a U.S. FDA approval sometime this year.
