Hotel Arts Barcelona Debuts Six Senses Spa -- A First in Europe
The first Six Senses Spa in Europe opened
in February in the award-winning Hotel Arts Barcelona. Located on the 42nd
and 43rd floor of the landmark skyscraper, the spa blends exceptional
services, in a setting offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean.
Guests experience a new level of well being, relaxation, and pampering
whether they choose a healing massage or state-of-the-art body wrap.

An extensive menu of signature spa treatments and services distinguish this
first city spa for Six Senses, an exclusive name in the field of wellness
and beauty. Among the selections to choose from is the Hotel Arts "Art of
Stone Therapy." The Spa utilizes Sodashi products. These ingredients are
wholly natural; contain no chemicals, mineral oils, or synthetics. They
provide anti-aging, purifying, and hydrating benefits to nurture the skin
and balance the senses. Sodashi products are never tested on animals.
Specializing in holistic treatments, The Six Senses Spa at Hotel Art
Barcelona offers beneficial chromo therapy, based upon the principle that
six individual colors are infused with healing energies to promote balance
and healing of mind and body. These soothing palettes of colors will be
incorporated into the treatment and steam rooms for an environment of
tranquility.
The Six Senses Spa features separate ladies and gentlemen's wet areas, with
Klafs sauna and steam rooms, vitality pools and ice fountains. While
relaxing in the saunas, guests enjoy views of the sea from the glass walls.
Two outdoor terraces, adjacent to the relaxation area, are available
throughout the year to enhance the total spa experience, which embraces the
natural elements of water and sunlight.
Hotels Arts Barcelona, operated by a subsidiary of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel
Company, L.L.C., has gained numerous international awards and recognition
for service excellence and luxurious surroundings since it opened in 1994.
At the current time the hotel is undergoing an extensive renovation of its
guestrooms slated for completion in January 2006.
