Consulting Magazine Names Seven Leaders Among Industry's Small Firms

Annual Issue Ranking These "Small Jewels" to Be Released in March

Consulting Magazine today announced its annual ranking of Small Jewels -- seven consulting firms that though small in size have set themselves apart inside an industry rich with client offerings.

After reviewing more than one hundred nominations, the 2005 "Small Jewels" were selected by Consulting Magazine editors, who based their selections on a number of criteria, including client impact, firm culture, and innovation within consulting. To be nominated as a "Small Jewel," a firm must have no more than 150 billable consultants.

"This year's 'Small Jewels' reveal the breadth and depth of consulting offerings today," says Jack Sweeney, editor-in-chief of Consulting Magazine. "These seven firms reveal the immense impact consulting firms, no matter what their size, can have on industry and government."

Among the firms making this year's ranking is Strategic Business Partners LLC, a Chicago area firm founded by three industry vets with a wealth of business consulting experience; and Putnam Associates, a strategy consulting firm specializing in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
