Agility Selected by Legacy Health System to Equip the Newest and One of the Most Technologically Advanced Hospitals in the Pacific Northwest

Agility Healthcare Solutions was selected by Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon to equip its newest hospital with AgileTrac, Agility's Web-based, radio frequency identification-enabled equipment management solution.

Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital is the newest of Legacy's facilities and is expected to be one of the most technologically advanced hospitals ever built in the Pacific Northwest. It will function as a nearly paperless hospital, with systems planned for computerized bedside registration, electronic record keeping and online physician order entry among others. Agility's RFID-enabled equipment management system will be live when the hospital opens this summer in Clark County, Wash.

Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital will feature Agility's AgileTrac solution and technology infrastructure to track, manage, measure and improve utilization of 3,500 pieces of critical mobile medical equipment throughout the facility. Legacy has signed a contract with Agility for RFID-enabled equipment management and plans to leverage the AgileTrac infrastructure throughout the hospital.

Agility uses RFID technology to enable automatic tracking and management of mobile assets including medical equipment, surgical instruments and supplies. Agility offers the first mobile asset management solution designed specifically for the healthcare industry featuring dedicated operational support services to optimize business processes, monitor and measure cost reductions, and identify equipment utilization improvement opportunities. Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital is the largest healthcare construction project in the state of Washington.
