Live From Jacksonville: Eyewitness News Team in Full Force for Eagles Super Bowl Showdown

CBS 3 and UPN 57, the official television partners of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be in full force in Jacksonville, Florida, for Super Bowl Week beginning this Sunday, January 30. Larry Mendte, Alycia Lane, Beasley Reece and Kathy Orr will anchor Eyewitness News at 4, 6 and 11 p.m. live from Jacksonville through Super Bowl Sunday, February 6. The team will also host Eagles Showdown: Jacksonville, a live special each evening from their home base -- a rooftop overlooking Alltel Stadium.

Sports Reporter Steve Bucci and News Reporter Anne-Marie Greene will join the anchor team in Florida all week along with a consortium of broadcasters from CBS 3's sister media outlets.

CBS 3 and UPN 57, along with its sister stations, SportsRadio 610WIP, Philadelphia's sports talk giant, and 94 WYSP, the Eagles radio station, will join forces with CBS News, CBS Sports and CBS 4 New England (WBZ-TV) as well as the Eagles Television Network (ETN) to create a group of news and sports bureaus throughout Jacksonville.

In addition, the Eyewitness News team will have unprecedented access to the Eagles, including being the only local TV crew with access to the players at their hotel.

"As the Eagles' partners, we're proud to provide the Delaware Valley with the most extensive coverage of this exciting event," says Peter Dunn, President and General Manager of CBS 3 and UPN 57. "We have tapped every resource to make sure we bring the excitement of this week right into people's living rooms."

"The Eagles are not just the biggest sports story of the week, but one of the biggest news stories to affect our viewers in many years," says Vice President and News Director Susan Schiller. "We have been with the team every step of the way for the past two years -- now we are excited to be able to take this story home."

Adds Sports Director Beasley Reece, a former NFL player from 1976 until 1985, "We know that wherever Philadelphia sports fans are this week, their hearts will be in Jacksonville. Our coverage will be the next best thing to being there."
