Cemtrex Inc. Sales Increase 298 Percent In Fiscal 2004

Cemtrex, Inc. today reported a net profit of $58,282 ($.02 per share)on sales of $722,836 for its fiscal year ended September 30, 2004, compared to a net loss of $64,797 ($.02 per share) on sales of $242,195 for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2003. The company's selling, general and administrative expenses grew from $204,519 in fiscal year 2003 to $277,682 in fiscal year 2004.

Gross profit of $344,113 for the 12-month period ended September 30, 2004 was 48 percent of sales compared to $145,837 or 60 percent of sales, in the same period in the previous year. The lower gross profit in the fiscal year 2004, compared to the fiscal year 2003 was, in part, due to more systems projects executed during 2004 in comparison to replacement parts business of the company since the margins on systems projects are lower than the replacement parts margins. As the company grows and carries out more systems projects the gross margin is expected to be inline with the fiscal year 2004 results.

Cemtrex is engaged in manufacturing and selling the most advanced instruments and systems to measure atmospheric concentrations of hazardous gases, certain biological agents and other toxins needed for energy and emissions trading on a worldwide basis. The company's products are sold to power plants, refineries and other industries and governmental agencies.
