Press Op - Meet The Stars, Ruff Ryders' "Jin" & MIG Records "Adrienne"

MIG Records invite the media to meet "Adrienne" (Lau) and "Jin" this Friday, January 14, 2005, from 2:30pm - 4:30pm at New York's Le Parker Meridien (118 Est 57th Street). RSVP's are requested. Celebrity guest expected.

Managers for international rap star "JIN" (Ruff Ryders) and rising pop sensation, MIG Records' "Adrienne" (Lau) www.adriennelau.com)">, have cleared the artists' schedules in order to meet the press this Friday, January 14, 2005, at New York's Le Parker Meridien (118 West 57th Street, NYC, NY), prior to back-to-back performances on Saturday night at Club 28 and El Flamingo.

According to MTV, "Jin" is one of the biggest new talents to break out on the rap scene; not only is he immensely talented and a brilliant performer, he is distinctly unique in the rap world in that he is Asian. From winning seven BET freestyle competitions on "106 & Park," he landed a deal with Ruff Ryders and quickly launched his debut album with the lead single, "Learning Chinese." The song sold worldwide, all but making "Jin" a household name.

"Adrienne" (Lau) is following in suit to her Asian counterpart. Dubbed by the Hong Kong press as having the power to bring pop to a new, internationally infused level, "Adrienne" has been embraced by fans in all corners of the globe and has seemingly been ushered into the venerable position of role model and inspiration to young girls worldwide. A product of hard work and persistence, her debut album, "Hypnotic," is scheduled to drop in stores throughout North America on January 25, 2005 (through Navarre Entertainment); yet she is already cracking the 1/4 million mark in web hits at www.adriennelau.com!

The first single, "Hypnotic Love," features "Jin" both on the tracks and in the video. And yes, as all the papers, TV, radio and web are reporting, the infamous world champion boxer, Mike Tyson, is featured as well. Presently fans in Detroit, San Antonio, Southern California and Canada are able to view the video.

"Jin" and Mike Tyson were not the only names "Adrienne" worked with; her album, which was produced by Damon Elliott (Pink, Destiny's Child, Macy Gray, Beyonce), also features songs by Belawa Mohammed (whose credits include Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera), Storm (Usher) and a single co-written and co-produced by Mya!
