Pharmacy: New Adult Board Game Takes Players on Adventure in Drug Trivia & Karma
Pharmacy is a new adult board game that
offers players a fun-filled "board trip," testing your knowledge of legal
and illegal drugs, alcohol and pop culture. The objective of Pharmacy is to
earn points by answering the Trivia Card questions correctly and to be
lucky enough to have good karma and earn extra points with Karma Cards.
The game pieces in Pharmacy are ten different characters, with a male and
female version of each. When playing Pharmacy, choose your character wisely
because you will experience the karma of your character. Characters include
a guru with questionable ethics, a nicotine-addicted and sexually
adventurous yuppie, a gambler, an actor, a farmer and, of course, a hippie.

The Trivia Cards include questions like these:
Ecstasy was first used to:
A. relax patients undergoing psychiatric treatment
B. suppress the appetite
C. spice up one's sex life
D. give out as party favors in the '20s
Who can legally ingest peyote?
A. members of Native North American Church
B. cops
C. members of any clergy
D. taxpayers
To learn the answers, you have to play the game. The Karma Cards can send
your character to the hospital, rehab, court or jail or you might end up
there just by chance landing on the game board, which looks like a little,
dysfunctional town. The Karma Cards include adventures like this:
-- You're at the BigAmy Rehab Center to kick your sexual addiction. You
run into an old flame from the Hooka-Crack Fiesta and celebrate with some
crack and a quickie. Lose a turn.
-- You're so loaded, you take a curbside sobriety nap. Earn 5 points for
being a responsible drunk.
Pharmacy is not recommended for people under 18, people who may feel
tempted to jumpstart their substance abuse again, or anyone who thinks it
is wrong. The characters in this game are strictly fictitious. Any
resemblance to people living, dead, or yourself, is completely
coincidental. Enjoy the adventure!
Pharmacy retails for $29.95. It is available at select retailers around the
U.S., or by calling 800-289-8103.
