Infravalley Partners With Ulticom to Deliver Wireless Intelligent Network Solutions

Prepaid Solution Deployed by Hutchison Telecoms Australia

Mobile solution provider Infravalley and signaling software leader Ulticom, Inc. today announced that Infravalley has deployed its wireless Intelligent Network (IN) prepaid solution for Hutchison Telecoms based on Ulticom's Signalware platform. The new solution allows Hutchison to deliver standardized prepaid calling services to its 3G CDMA subscribers as well as new advanced payment and call processing services.

The IN solutions from Infravalley are designed to manage service interaction functions and provide the service logic to enable differentiated charging policies and enhanced call processing. These products allow operators to customize various specialized services that can be targeted to specific subscriber market segments. In addition to CDMA, the Infravalley IN product line also supports the GSM CAMEL specification, which is especially attractive to mobile operators that support both standards in parallel. Infravalley's IN solutions are also currently being field tested by several other carriers in the Asia Pacific region.

Infravalley's IN solutions leverage Signalware's comprehensive platform features including dual support for both the TIA-EIA 41-E/F WIN Phase I/II library and the CAMEL Application Part (CAP) specifications. These features enable wireless number portability, prepaid services, calling name presentation, and restriction services, which are being rapidly deployed in CDMA and GSM networks worldwide. The key benefits to application developers are the ability to address a much broader mobile services market and the flexibility to deal with the complexities surrounding the evolutionary path toward a unified UMTS network.

Infravalley has been providing mobile solutions to Korean service providers such as KT Freetel, SK Telecom, LG Telecom, and others for several years.

"We are very happy to work with Infravalley to help meet their time to market requirements in one of the world's most demanding and innovative marketplaces," said Shawn Osborne, president and CEO of Ulticom. "Infravalley's commitment to open systems has resulted in a robust and rich suite of intelligent networking solutions."

"Infravalley's goal is to expand our business internationally by strategically leveraging our leadership position in the Korean mobile solutions market and through partnerships with leading vendors that can help us expand our reach," said Choi Yeom Kyu, CEO at Infravalley. "As a result of our cooperation with Ulticom and Samsung, we were able to respond quickly to Hutchison Telecoms in Australia by providing our complete wireless intelligent network solution for a commercial service launch in early 2005."
