The TSO phenomenon is taking over the holidays once again! With a whole
new album of material, the group's exhilarating brand of rock is further
reaffirming their place as an American holiday tradition. In just six weeks
the group's latest studio album, "The Lost Christmas Eve," has been
certified gold. The new album further solidifies the group's nationwide
success, joining a string of past recordings to achieve the coveted gold
standard. In addition to their latest achievement, TSO's previous two
album releases, "Christmas Eve & Other Stories" and "The Christmas Attic,"
have been certified double platinum and platinum, respectively.
Established in 1996 by producer/composer/lyricist Paul O'Neill, who
immediately brought on longtime writing partners Robert Kinkel and Jon
Oliva, Trans-Siberian Orchestra has crafted inspirational music and
delivered compelling live performances that have attracted fans from the
ages of 7 to 70. With its timeless message, TSO has become a holiday
essential amongst music lovers. The cross-pollination of talent and
musical genres is what has made TSO's style so unique. The group has
become one of the season's most requested acts to be played on radio during
the holidays -- receiving over 12,000 spins in 2003 alone!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra's concert tours have grown rapidly from year to
year, and have now been attended by over 1 million people. The group's 2003
holiday tour sold out 62 out of 85 nights across the nation, making TSO one
of the Top 5 Live Holiday Entertainment Attractions in the United States,
and the tour is on the way to becoming one of this season's top-grossing
outings. This year alone, over 500,000 tickets are expected to sell for
the entire trek, which includes a date at Madison Square Garden on December
27th.
Finally, in addition to their 2nd annual appearance on ABC's "Good Morning
America" on December 14th, for the third consecutive year, PBS will
broadcast the group's holiday TV special "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,"
which co-stars Ossie Davis, Jewel and Michael Crawford.
