Digital Orchid Joins QUALCOMM's Growing Portfolio of Companies Accelerating the CDMA Market

Digital Orchid, the industry's leading innovator in the development, management, and distribution of branded real-time wireless applications, today announced QUALCOMM Incorporated , pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, has made a strategic investment in Digital Orchid Inc. The QUALCOMM Ventures investment group selected Digital Orchid to join its portfolio of innovative, young companies helping to expand the market for 3G wireless.

Digital Orchid develops a number of popular applications for QUALCOMM's BREW® solution, including the recently released, award-winning NASCAR.COM TO GO, PitCommand application. PitCommand is the first wireless application to offer NASCAR fans access to real-time race information using telemetry and GPS technology delivered directly to the cellular handset. In addition to PitCommand, Digital Orchid provides NASCAR wallpapers, ringtones and news to racing fans that use BREW-enabled handsets.
