Hit Single "My Cinderella" Debuts at #22 On Radio Disney Charts
New Album "RomeoLand" In Stores Now
NEW YORK, NY -- 12/06/2005 -- New No Limit/KOCH Records artist Lil' Romeo
is celebrating the recent release of his third album "RomeoLand" and a
strong debut on the radio network's chart with a run of Radio Disney
concerts.
Lil' Romeo and fellow teen sensation, JoJo, made a splash at the
Philadelphia Radio Disney Birthday Bash on Saturday, November 20th, when
they thrilled tens of thousands of local area youths (see photo). Radio
Disney can be heard locally in the area on AM 640 WWJZ.
On Saturday, December 11th, Lil' Romeo and Aaron Carter will take the stage
at the San Jose Convention Hall for the San Francisco Radio Disney Jingle
Jam. Radio Disney can be heard locally in the area on AM 1310 KMKY.
Lil' Romeo and Aaron Carter will thrill the Tri-State on Monday, December
20th, at the New York Radio Disney Jingle Jam in Toms River, NJ. Radio
Disney can be heard locally in the area on AM 1560 WQEW.
The first single from "RomeoLand," "My Cinderella" featuring
actor/recording artist, Nick Cannon, debuted at #22 on Radio Disney's chart
this week. The video, which also features Nick Cannon, has held the #1 spot
on BET's "106th & Park" video countdown show, the #1 music video show in
the country, for several weeks in a row. The video is also in rotation on
MTV and Nickelodeon.
Lil' Romeo's hit television show, "Romeo!," kicked off its second season
this fall on the Nickelodeon network. The show is rated #1 on all of cable
in its Sunday prime time slot among kids ages 9 - 14. The show also stars
his dad, music entrepreneur Master P.
Lil' Romeo made his music debut at age 11 with the release of his first hit
single, "My Baby" from his self-titled debut CD. With the release of the
single, Romeo became the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100
Singles Chart -- a title previously held by Michael Jackson. "My Baby" went
to #1 on three different Billboard charts and held on to the #1 position on
the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Sales chart for 10 straight weeks. That same year
Romeo, won two Billboard Music Awards for "My Baby."
Romeo's follow up release, "Game Time" (2002), spawned the hit singles
"2Way," and "True Love," which featured R&B singer/actress and Beyonce's
younger sister, Solange.
In 2003, Romeo starred in the blockbuster hit, "Honey," his first major
studio feature film, along side Jessica Alba. Up next is the family comedy
"Uncle P," in theaters Spring 2005.
