NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Is Celebrated at Market Open; December 2nd Is Proclaimed NASCAR NEXTEL Day

Matt Kenseth; Elliott Sadler; Jeremy Mayfield; Donald Trump, Chairman,

will preside over the Market Open.

Why:
The NASDAQ Stock Market is proud to be a part of the annual NASCAR
Champion's Week by hosting representatives from Nextel Communications,
NASCAR, the 10 drivers who competed in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup,
Donald Trump and Ronan Tyan at the Market Open.
Prior to the Market Open, 2004 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champion Kurt
Busch, his crew chief, NASCAR and NEXTEL executives will participate in a
proclamation ceremony announcing December 2nd as NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series
Day.
Following the open, a Victory Lap ceremony, staring at 9:45 a.m. will begin
when Donald J. Trump will then say the most famous words in racing --
"Gentlemen Start Your Engines" -- and wave the Green Flag. The show cars of
the top 10 drivers will roar down Broadway, turn left on 42nd Street and
finally take a "checkered flag" at NASCAR's New York office on 52nd Street
and Park Avenue.
