Dial Thru International Corp. has signed a Joint Venture (JV) agreement with Digital Broadcast
Corporation (DBC), an international broadband wireless services company
focused on providing wireless cable TV programming, high-speed Internet
access and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services to domestic and
international customers, to provide VoIP telephone service to as many as
25,000 households in Roanoke, Virginia. DBC and Dial Thru anticipate
expanding their venture into many other cities throughout the U.S. and the
world in the months to come. DBC will be the first to combine a bundled
package of wireless digital broadcast television, offering up to 150
digital channels along with high-speed Internet services in excess of one
megabyte of download capabilities to each customer, and unlimited domestic
telephone service, for one low price of $89.95 per month. In addition, the
customer will benefit from a highly competitive discounted international
calling plan.
"We are very excited about this JV with DBC and feel that this bundled
package of services that we will be offering is the wave of the future,"
said John Jenkins, CEO of Dial Thru. "We are very excited to be working
with Gary Nerlinger, Chairman of DBC, and his team and providing our
telecom services. Both companies have the entrepreneurial spirit that will
enable us to excel in this new offering."
Gary Nerlinger, Chairman of DBC, said, "We have reviewed over a hundred
companies to partner with in offering this package and DTI, with its long
experience in VoIP and advanced systems, always came up first choice. We
are excited to be working with DTI and anticipate significant opportunities
for both companies in this sector. Roanoke, Virginia is just the first of
many cities in which we plan on launching this exciting new service."
