Advanced MicroSensors, Inc. Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Registration

Advanced MicroSensors, Inc., a leading
manufacturer of tape head and MEMS devices has received ISO 9001:2000
certification by National Quality Assurance, USA. For AMS, the receipt of
ISO 9001:2000, the most widely recognized international standard for
quality management systems, was an important step in the company's
continuing commitment to its customers.
"Achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification provides both external and internal
benefits to AMS," said Timothy J. Blaser, Vice President of Operations for
Advanced MicroSensors. "Our present and developing customer base view our
certification as evidence of our commitment to quality systems, and a
methodical approach to continuously improve operational execution, and
increasing product quality."
"Providing a high level of excellence and consistency from development
through volume manufacturing across all our products and processes are key
components of achieving customer satisfaction," said Robert N. Donelson,
Director of Quality for AMS. "Attainment of ISO 9001:2000 registration
provides our customers with independent acknowledgement that AMS operates
to a world class quality standard."
Advanced MicroSensors, Inc. received its ISO 9001:2000 registration from
National Quality Assurance, USA (NQA, USA), an accredited registrar that
performs assessments of management systems against requirements of national
and international standards for quality. NQA, USA was chosen because of its
broad industrial, manufacturing, and distribution expertise.
"Advanced MicroSensors is now able to proudly display its ISO 9001:2000
certificate. This is tangible evidence of their commitment to superior
product quality," said Gordon Malcolm, Business Development Officer of NQA,
USA. "From the initial document review to the final assessment audit, AMS
was a true pleasure to audit because of their strong belief that ISO
9001:2000 registration would result in a more efficient and productive
business."
