The Best Use of Technology for Educational Programming is awarded to the

American Museum of the Moving Image, and Hughes Network Systems. Selection
was based on: industry impact, technical creativity, user interface and

its use of BrainEKP, a revolutionary platform for visualizing and sharing
information.
"TheBrain's visual interface is transforming the way we deliver content,"
said Rodger Smith, Associate Director of Ball State University's Center for
Media Design. "With BrainEKP students can discover new information that
would otherwise be overlooked using standard tools. BrainEKP's flexible
interface gives educators the ability to capture and share complex issues
simply and intuitively, enhancing understanding of content and providing a
deeper context on social issues."
BrainEKP guides students through simulated case studies in social work,
nursing, criminal justice and speech pathology, fostering a deeper
understanding of interrelated topics. With BrainEKP's easy-to-use content
management features faculty members can connect and visually relate all
information assets for complex case studies, pulling together a wide range
of information sources. Users are now able to see clear connections to
environmental contingencies, related socio-economic factors and clinical
resources for improved diagnoses and care.
"We are thrilled that our customer applications are receiving world-wide
recognition like the Billboard Award," said Harlan Hugh, Chief Executive
Officer of TheBrain. "Organizations like Ball State need more sophisticated
