Pinnacle Airlines CEO Appointed to FAA's Management Advisory Council

Mineta has appointed Philip H. Trenary, president and CEO of Pinnacle
Airlines Corp. , to the Federal Aviation Administration's
(FAA's) Management Advisory Council (MAC). The council advises the FAA on
policy, budget and regulations.
"The council helps the FAA operate as a smart, performance-based business,"
said FAA Administrator Marion C. Blakely. "Phil's experience in private
industry will help us provide better service to the flying public. His work
with MAC will ensure that we deliver service that is safe, efficient and
affordable."

forward to serving with such a distinguished group of aviation
professionals."
Created by the federal aviation reauthorization act of 1996, the MAC meets
quarterly to assess and advise the FAA on the agency's performance. The
panel members serve three-year terms in a volunteer capacity and retain
their private sector positions.
Trenary joined Pinnacle Airlines as president and CEO in April 1997. During
his tenure, the carrier has expanded from a small turbo-prop operator
serving the South, to one of the nation's largest regional airlines,
serving more than 100 locations in the United States and Canada. In July
2004, Trenary was presented the 'Regional Airlines Leadership Award' by
Airline Business Magazine. He was selected 'Regional Airlines Executive of
the Year' by Commuter & Regional Airlines News in 2000. Currently, Trenary
is a U.S. Senate appointee to the National Commission on Small Community
Air Service and is the chairman of the Regional Airline Association (RAA),
past chairman of the Memphis Music Commission and chairman of the Memphis
Convention & Visitors Bureau. Pinnacle Airlines was recently named one of
2004's Top-Performing Small Airlines in the World by Aviation Week.
Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. operates under the name Northwest Airlink and
provides service to destinations in the United States and Canada. Pinnacle
operates an all-jet fleet of Canadair 44- and 50-seat Regional Jets from
Northwest hubs at Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis-St. Paul. Pinnacle
