'Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill' Hits Stores October 26th

Blake Shelton's third Warner Bros. Records
release, "Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill," will hit stores on Tuesday,
October 26. Fans are already familiar with Blake's newest hit "Some
Beach," which is currently at #10 on the Radio & Records chart and #13 on
Billboard. Blake's street week will have him criss-crossing the country
with "Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill" events, media appearances and in-store
performances.
"Some Beach" is a portrayal of just one of the conversations that can be
heard at one of the tables at "Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill." With this
album, Blake sought to create a place. He envisioned a place with a
jukebox that might be playing any of these songs, songs that reflect the
everyday emotions that everyone can relate to and identify with. "I can
picture every person in every conversation in this bar when I listen to the
album," Blake says, "and it doesn't make me want to jump up and do the
flash dance and it doesn't make me cry when it's over. It just makes me
content with myself at that moment. Just kick back, drink a beer and have
fun listening to it."
Known to most radio listeners as the tender balladeer behind the #1 hits
"Austin" and "The Baby," Blake is now beginning to show his fans another
side of his personality. His dry wit and self-effacing sense of humor come
through on his video for "Some Beach," the story of a perfectly good day
ruined by road rage, a stolen parking spot and premature drilling at the
dentist's office -- any of which could make you long to be on some beach,
somewhere! In the same vein, this week marks the start of a series of
television commercials on CMT and GAC in which Blake manages to unwittingly
offend various farm animals while hanging out at his "Barn & Grill." He
also brought a few laughs to CMT last night as he helped Lance Smith out
with the "Top Twenty Countdown," which will be aired again this weekend,
and he was featured on GAC's "Country Music Across America" earlier in the
week. The new album is covered extensively in the latest issue of "Country
Music Weekly," with an album review and a feature article. Fans will
continue to get to know Blake as he hosts GAC's "Country Request Live" on
his album's release date, October 26th, and as he narrates the world
premiere of his album on XM Satellite Radio's "Highway 16 ShortCuts,"
airing October 22-25. Blake's fans seem to like this new side of him,
propelling the "Some Beach" video into CMT's Top 20.
"Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill" is filled to the brim with great drinking
songs. The melancholy "I Drink" shows a man who has resigned himself to
alcoholism and "The Bartender" knows all of his customers by the drinks
they order, rather than by name. Love can be lost and found at "Blake
Shelton's Barn & Grill" as well, from "Goodbye Time," Blake's beautiful
homage to Conway Twitty, to the fun and frolicking lovers in "Cotton
Pickin' Time." From the man who declares that he is the only one for his
girl in "Nobody But Me," to the girl who should find herself a new love in
"Good Old Boy, Bad Old Boyfriend."
