EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 18, 2004 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation has appointed Lisa Kohl vice president of operations for its Integrated Systems sector. She reports to Scott Seymour, president of the Integrated Systems sector.

In this new assignment, Kohl will focus on helping the sector meet or exceed all of its customer commitments while maintaining operating processes. She was formerly vice president, Six Sigma at Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector.

Over the past 27 years, Kohl has held jobs of increasing responsibilities within the company's Space Technology sector. As vice president, Six Sigma, she was responsible for the rollout and implementation of a sector-wide program that identifies business improvements that benefit the company's customers and return tangible value to the organization.

Previously Kohl held a variety of positions within Northrop Grumman that focused on the application of communications technologies to ground- and space-based applications, both military and commercial. She served as program manager for a multi-satellite defense program that provided satellite payload hardware and software; directed a wireless telecommunication products organization that served wireless broadband markets; and served as a program director responsible for the company's performance on a variety of small to mid-sized contracts.

Kohl has also served as vice president of Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector's information infrastructure organization and functional manager for its Ground Systems Center.

Kohl earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana State University and a master's degree from Purdue University.
